Lightale is an adventure game were you play as a little child of light that is lost trought the universe. The game is about his journey to return to his mum, avoiding to be swallowed up by the darkness.
Game entered in ImagineCup 2015 finals (promoted by microsft) in the videogames’ section.

In this project I had to think and develop the Movement system in C# and to write the soundtrack.
The main object of this game was to create an immersive and thoughtful game for mobile platforms that still kept short levels in order to be more user-friendly on mobile devices (trying to change the usual format of the time).
Particular care was taken in the sound-design and dynamic lighting department, so that the game could be the most immersive possible.
Every era of history Light migrates from universe to universe to reestablish life. During the last migration a small light particle was left behind in the darkness, and it begins its dangerous journey in an unknown world looking for its mother. Further I the game will be faced topics like the endless battle between light and darkness and the resulting symbiotic between them, finding that one defines the other.
The main character is a light particle that floats on the screen. It moves by propulsion: touching one side of the screen, the particle is pushed in the opposite direction. The movement is energy demanding, and the energy is the light itself, resulting in its dampening the more it moves. It can regain light by catching light residues scattered around the map. It was also taken into consideration to add monsters that feed on light to give more depth to the game.
